Answer:

50 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

The sum of the interior angles of a triangle is 180.  We can find the missing angle of the triangle by subtracting out the two measurement of the triangle that we know from 180.

180 - 31 -19 = 130

This angle would be the alternate exterior angel to the parallel line QP.  That angle is supplement to the angle that you are looking for. <QTP would be 50 (180 -130)

What must be true of PQ?
yulyashka [42]
Interesting question
Usually when you look at something like that construction, you think that AB has been bisected by PQ and that the two segments are perpendicular. They are perpendicular but nowhere is that stated. So the answer is C because all the other answers are wrong.

PQ is congruent AB is not correct. As long as the arcs are equal and meet above and below AB there is no proof of congruency. In your mind widen the compass legs so that they are wider than AB and redraw the arcs. You get a larger PQ, but it has all the original properties of PQ except size.

PQ is not congruent to AQ. How would you prove conguency? You'd have to put both lines into triangles that can be proved congruent. It can't be done.

The two lines are not parallel. They are perpendicular. That can be proven. They meet at right angles to each other (also provable).

joe is in debt $250, but he's saving $30 each month. using the equation, y=30x-250, how long will it take joe to have $230?
Vsevolod [243]

Answer:

16

Step-by-step explanation:

so in this equation we have 2 variables, and we must figure out what those variables mean:

y: "y" is the total amount of money joe has after subtracting his debt from it

x: "x" is the # of months as the cost of each month(30) is placed just before this variable

as y is the total amount of money joe has we need to substitute it for 230 to figure out how long it took for joe to recieve that much money

230=30x-250

480=30x

x=16

it took joe 16 months to get $230

two sides of a triangle measures 20 centimeters and 30 centimeters which of the following could be the measure of the third side
brilliants [131]
To find the third side of a triangle (there are two answers you could get), you need to use the Pythagorean formula: a^2+b^2=c^2.  First answer, 20^2+30^2=c^2.  Solve for c.  c=36.06.  The second answer, 20^2+b^2=30^2.  Solve for b.  b=26.36.
