First you need to start off using the Equation 2(x + 32) = 96
Using the distributive property, distribute the 2. 2x + 64 = 96.
Then you would subtract 64 on both sides t get rid of 64. 2x = 32
To get x by itself you would divide 2 on each side. x= 16
