Which two numbers on the number line have an absolute value of 1.75? Select the location of both numbers on the number line
hram777 [196]

Solution

To    find   Which two numbers on the number line have  sn

            absolute value of 1.75  .

Absolute   value   means    " how  far   a  number    is   from

            zero "  .

           "1.75"    is    1.75   away   from   zero  .

and  " -1.75"   is  also   1.75    away   from  zero  .

          i.e

               |  0  - 1.75 |   =   1.75

              |  1.75 - 0 |  =  1.75

So ,  the  absolute   value  of   "1.75"    is  1.75

          similarly  , absolute  value  of  "1.75"   is   1.75  .

Hence  , the  two  numbers   are   -1.75  and  1.75  .

What happens to the standard deviation of the average of a sample as the sample size increases? Group of answer choices It gets
NeX [460]

Answer:

Gets smaller

Step-by-step explanation:

- The standard deviation is the quantification of spread of data. According to descriptive statistics the standard deviation s is given by:

                             s = Σ (  x - u ) / sqrt ( n )

Where, n : sample size

            u : Mean value

- So we see that standard deviation (s) is inversely proportional to square root of sample size (n).

- We can see that as sample size (n) increases the standard deviation (s) decreases.

mr. Williams and mrs.sims drove 380 miles for a school conference. Mrs.sims drove 55% of the miles. What fraction of miles did m
lisov135 [29]
So 55% is really 55/100
You take 100 - 55 to find how much Mr. Williams drove
100 - 55 = 45

So Mr. Williams drove 45/100 of the miles
Simplified is 9/20 of the miles
