1/2x + 1/5(x + 1) = 10
1/2x + 1/5x + 1/5 = 10
5/10x + 2/10x = 10 - 1/5
7/10x = 50/5 - 1/5
7/10x = 49/5
x = 49/5 * 10/7
x = 490/35
x = 14

x + 1 = 15

ur integers are 14 and 15

Let 1st integer be x and next consecutive be x+1
1/2•x + 1/5•(x+1) = 10
x/2 + x/5 + 1/5 = 10
-1/5 -1/5
x/2 + x/5 = 49/5
(x/2)•5/5 + (x/5)•2/2 = 49/5
5x/10 + 2x/10 = 49/5
7x/10 = 49/5
•10 •10
7x = 98
÷7 ÷7
x = 14 --> 1st integer
x+1 = 14+1 = 15 --> next consecutive integer

Answer:

within-groups

Step-by-step explanation:

According to my research on the scientific method, I can say that based on the information provided within the question the independent variable is being manipulated within groups, because she is not using a pretest and her design is within-groups. This is because she is using the posttest-only control group design which is a research design where at least two groups, one of which does not receive a treatment or intervention, and data is collected on the outcome measure after the treatment or intervention.

Write greatest unit fractions that are repeating decimals. Then express each fraction as a decimal.
LekaFEV [45]
Our repeating decimal would be= 0.5555….
Let’s give 0.5555….. repeating decimal a variable of x:
x= 0.5555…. or 0.5(move 1 point to the right)
So ,10x = 5.5555 or 5.5

Now, Let’s do subtraction:
10x = 5.5555… or 5.5
<u>-   x =  0.5555… or 0.5</u>
 9x  = 5.0            or 5.0

To get a fraction, provide a denominator the same with the numerator of variable x which is 9. Then divide the difference:
<span><u>9x</u> = <u>5.0</u>
9        9</span> <span> <span><span> <span> <span>Therefore, x = <u>5
</u>                                     9</span> </span> </span> </span></span>

A coffee packaging plant claims that the mean weight of coffee in its containers is at least 32 ounces. A random sample of 15 co
Luda [366]

Answer:

We conclude that the mean weight of coffee in its containers is at least 32 ounces which means that the data support the claim.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that a coffee packaging plant claims that the mean weight of coffee in its containers is at least 32 ounces.

A random sample of 15 containers were weighed and the mean weight was 31.8 ounces with a sample standard deviation of 0.48 ounces.

Let \mu = <u><em>mean weight of coffee in its containers.</em></u>

SO, Null Hypothesis, H_0 : \mu \geq 32 ounces     {means that the mean weight of coffee in its containers is at least 32 ounces}

Alternate Hypothesis, H_A : \mu < 32 ounces      {means that the mean weight of coffee in its containers is less than 32 ounces}

The test statistics that would be used here <u>One-sample t-test statistics</u> as we don't know about population standard deviation;

                             T.S. =  \frac{\bar X-\mu}{\frac{s}{\sqrt{n} } }  ~ t_n_-_1

where, \bar X = sample mean weight = 31.8 ounces

             s = sample standard deviation = 0.48 ounces

             n = sample of containers = 15

So, <u><em>the test statistics</em></u>  =  \frac{31.8 -32}{\frac{0.48}{\sqrt{15} } }  ~ t_1_4

                                      =  -1.614

The value of t test statistics is -1.614.

<u>Now, at 0.01 significance level the t table gives critical value of -2.624 at 14 degree of freedom for left-tailed test.</u>

Since our test statistic is more than the critical value of t as -1.614 > -2.624, so we have insufficient evidence to reject our null hypothesis as it will not fall in the rejection region due to which <u><em>we fail to reject our null hypothesis</em></u>.

Therefore, we conclude that the mean weight of coffee in its containers is at least 32 ounces which means that the data support the claim.
