You are making a snack mix consisting of granola and peanuts. Granola has 3 grams of fiber per ounce and peanuts have 2 grams of

fiber per ounce. You want the snack mix to have at least 16 grams of fiber and weigh no more than 8 ounces.
Let x represent the number of ounces of granola in the mix and y represent the number of ounces of peanuts in the mix.
What does the solution (5, 3) represent for this system of inequalities? Question 10 options:

A) Your mixture has 5 ounces of peanuts and 3 ounces of granola.
B) Your mixture has 5 ounces of granola and 3 ounces of peanuts.
C)Your mixture has 5 grams of fiber and weighs 3 ounces.
D) Your mixture has 3 grams of fiber and weighs 5 ounces.

I think that the answer is B .I know for sure that its not C or D .Thanks for help ,and please explain your answer .Thanks again.

Given:

The point (9,-12) is on terminal side of angle theta in standard position.

To find:

The exact value of each of the six trigonometric functions of theta.

Solution:

The given point is (9,-12). Here, x-coordinate is positive and y-coordinate is negative. So, the point lies in 4th quadrant and only cos and sec are positive in 4th quadrant.

We know that,

r=\sqrt{x^2+y^2}

r=\sqrt{9^2+(-12)^2}

r=\sqrt{81+144}

r=\sqrt{225}

r=15

Now,

\sin \theta=\dfrac{y}{r}=\dfrac{-12}{15}=-\dfrac{4}{5}

\cos \theta=\dfrac{x}{r}=\dfrac{9}{15}=\dfrac{3}{5}

\tan \theta=\dfrac{y}{x}=\dfrac{-12}{9}=-\dfrac{4}{3}

\cot \theta=\dfrac{1}{\tan \theta}=-\dfrac{3}{4}

\text{cosec} \theta=\dfrac{1}{\sin \theta}=-\dfrac{5}{4}

\sec \theta=\dfrac{1}{\cos \theta}=\dfrac{5}{3}

Therefore, the values of six trigonometric functions of theta are \sin \theta=-\dfrac{4}{5},\cos \theta=\dfrac{3}{5},\tan \theta=-\dfrac{4}{3},\cot \theta=-\dfrac{3}{4},\text{cosec} \theta=-\dfrac{5}{4},\sec \theta=\dfrac{5}{3}.

2. Find the theoretical probability of not rolling a 4.
mezya [45]

Answer:If a die is rolled once, determine the probability of rolling a 4: Rolling a 4 is an event with 1 favorable outcome (a roll of 4) and the total number of possible outcomes is 6 (a roll of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6). Thus, the probability of rolling a 4 is 1/6.

If a die is rolled once, determine the probability of rolling at least a 4: Rolling at least 4 is an event with 3 favorable outcomes (a roll of 4, 5, or 6) and the total number of possible outcomes is again 6. Thus, the probability of rolling at least a 4 is 3/6 = 1/2

Step-by-step explanation:For example, when a die is rolled, the possible outcomes are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. In mathematical language, an event is a set of outcomes, which describe what outcomes correspond to the "event" happening. For instance, "rolling an even number" is an event that corresponds to the set of outcomes {2, 4, 6}. The probability of an event, like rolling an even number, is the number of outcomes that constitute the event divided by the total number of possible outcomes. We call the outcomes in an event its "favorable outcomes".

( f - g )(x) = 10x - 17 and ( f ° g)(-6)  = 60. The answers are option D and B

<h3>There are different type of Function</h3>

Different types of function demands different ways of solving them. Different types are simple function, function by substitution and function of function.

Given that

f(x) = x^{2} + 9x - 14 and g(x) = x^{2} - x + 3

( f - g )(x) will be the difference between f(x) and g(x)

( f - g )(x) = x^{2} + 9x - 14 - ( x^{2} - x + 3)

( f - g )(x) =  x^{2} + 9x - 14 -  x^{2} + x - 3

( f - g )(x) = 10x - 17

Also, if f(x) = 3x^{2} - 15 and g(x) = 1 - 2/3 x

( f ° g)(-6) means that we will evaluate g at -6, then evaluate f at the result of g(-6)

g(-6) = 1 - 2/3 (-6)

g(-6) = 1 + 4

g(-6) = 5

f(g(-6)) = 3(5^{2}) - 15

f(g(-6)) = 3 x 25 - 15

f(g(-6)) = 75 - 15

f(g(-6)) = 60

Therefore, ( f - g )(x) = 10x - 17 and ( f ° g)(-6)  = 60
