Mathematics

4.110

Becuase 4.110 can be annexed(remove the 0) to make 4.11, we know that 4.11 > 4.10

What I mean is 4.11 is bigger than 4.10

Say, if we removed the decimal points from both sides, we get 411 and 410.

411 is bigger than 410, so 4.11 should be bigger than 4.10

Use the discriminant to determine the number of solutions for the quadratic equation.
Leno4ka [110]

Answer:

2 real solutions

Step-by-step explanation:

y = -x^2 + 3x + 5

First find the the discriminant:

using b² - 4(a)(b)

(3)²- 4(-1)(5)

=9+20

=29

since the discriminant is more than 0, there are 2 real solutions

Which equation represents a line which is parallel to the line x-
8y = 48?
dolphi86 [110]

Answer:

y = 1/8x

Step-by-step explanation:

REMEBER: When the slopes are two lines are equal, they're parallel.

Given Equation:

 • x - 8y = 48 ---> This equation is in standard form.

⇒ -8y = -1x + 48

⇒ y = 1/8x + 6

As a result, the equation of the parallal line to the given equation x - 8y = 48 is:

⇒ y = 1/8x

Please can someone help me with the whole page ? Thank u and please please please show your work.
algol [13]
Well, we can really show our work because their is no work to be done. Question 7 is a right angle because it is exactly 90 degrees. So since you now know what a right angle is, you can probably guess Question 8 a would be either 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock. For question 8b , he first one, and acute angle is an angle where it is below 90 degrees. So an example of an acute time is 3:05. An obtuse angle is an angle above 90 degrees. So an obtuse time would be (for example) 3:55. Hope this helped.
