The German leaders—the German leaders reduced tariffs, expanded free trade, lowered taxes. From 1950 to 1960 alone, the standard of living in West Germany and Berlin doubled.

Parallelism in literature is the use of a similar gramatical structure in order to transmit an idea in an easier way and to emphasize in certain points. For example, the parallelism is this excerpt is the use of "Adenauer, Erhard, Reuter, and other leaders..." and "The German leaders—the German leaders", because these two parts refer to the same people.

Reagan uses this device to introduce his reasoning and create emphasis, option C, in how the German leaders that adopted Capitalism were able to succeed economically and bring stability to West Germany.

Manufacturers relied on immigrant women to work in their factories not only because these women were immigrants but also because there was a strong need for the women to support their families. Being in a new country with a lack of knowledge also played a role.

Other reasons why manufacturers relied on immigrant women was because it was important for women to have access to work quickly, the ability to work with other women and the workplace was where language was not a barrier.

The Wade-Davis Bill required that 50 percent of a state's white males take a loyalty oath to be readmitted to the Union. In addition, states were required to give blacks the right to vote, the propose plan also include

military governors would be appointed by the president to oversee each previously seceded state. This law would make it more difficult for seceded states to rejoin the Union but Lincoln rejected the bill depite that the bill was pass by both house of Congress, Lincoln wanted to mend the Union by carrying out the ten percent plan. He believed it would be too difficult to repair all of the ties within the Union if the Wade–Davis bill passed.
