65% = .65 and 25%=.25

Find the midpoint between two points on a coordinate plane whose coordinates are (5.7) and (-3, 1).
jok3333 [9.3K]

Answer:

(1,4)

Step-by-step explanation:

if~(x,y)~is~mid~point~of~(x_{1},y_{1})~and~ (x_{2},y_{2}~then\\x=\frac{x_{1}+x_{2}}{2} \\y=\frac{y_{1}+y_{2}}{2} \\x=\frac{5-3}{2} =\frac{2}{2}=1\\y=\frac{7+1}{2} =\frac{8}{2} =4

If the operation is defined for all integers a and b by <a href="/cdn-cgi/l/email-protection" class="__cf_email__" data-cfemail=
leva [86]

Answer:

(E) I, II and III

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

[email protected] = a + b - ab ∀ a, b ∈ Z ( set of all integers ),

For solving this question we need to remember the following properties of integers:

  • Commutative property of addition
  • Additive identity property of addition
  • Commutative property of multiplication
  • Distributive property of multiplication over addition

I. [email protected] = a + b - ab,

[email protected] = b + a - ba = a + b - ab

Thus, [email protected] = [email protected]

II. [email protected] = a + 0 - a × 0

= a + 0 - 0

= a

III. ([email protected])@c = ([email protected])+c - ([email protected])c

= (a + b - ab) + c - (a + b - ab)c

= a + b - ab + c - ac - bc + abc

= a + b + c - ab - bc - ac + abc,

Now, [email protected]([email protected]) = [email protected]( b + c - bc )

= a + (b + c - bc) - a(b+c - bc)

= a + b + c - bc - ab - ac + abc

= a + b + c - ab - bc - ac + abc.

Thus, ([email protected])@c = [email protected]([email protected])

If 169 meters is the longest length, then _______ meters is the shortest
jok3333 [9.3K]

Answer: If 169 meters is the longest length, then 154 meters is the shortest length.

Explanation:

The given figure show a box plot.

In a box plot the box is lies between the first quartile Q₁ and third quartile Q₃ . The line between Q₁ and Q₃ represent the median and Q₁ is always less than Q₃.

The end point of the line left side of the box represents the minimum value of the data and the end point of the line right side of the box represents the maximum value of the data.

From the figure we can say that,

Q_1=158

Median=Q_2=163

Q_3=167

Minimum value is 154 and the maximum value is 169.

Since it is given that the 169 meters is the longest length then the shortest length is 154.

Students were surveyed about their wither break plans.Of the people that stated they were going skiing, 25% did not actually go.
Romashka [77]

Answer:

The number of students who actually went for the skiing is 0.75 times the total number of students .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

Students were surveyed about their wither break plans

The percentage of students who did not go for skiing = 25 %

So, The percentage of students who did not go for skiing =100 % - 25 % = 75%

Let The total number of students = x

So, The number of students actually went for the skiing = 75% of the total number of students

I.e The number of students actually went for the skiing = \frac{75}{100}× x

Or, The number of students actually went for the skiing = 0.75× x

∴ The number of students actually went for the skiing = 0.75 x

Hence The number of students who actually went for the skiing is 0.75 times the total number of students . Answer
