Hey!

Hope this helps...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
<em>Question 7:</em>  Is the Graph a 1-to-1?
The answer is: No
<em>Reason: </em>If you look at the graph, you see that when the x value is -1 the y value is -2, when x is 0, y is 0.  When x is 1, y is 2, when x is 3, y is 4, and so on and so on...
<em>Question 9:</em> What is f(2)?
The answer is: When f (or x) is 2, y is 3... so f(2) = 3
<em>Reason:</em> (Look at reason for Question 7)
I hope this helped, if it did, please do not forget to give a "Thanks" and a 5 star rating...
And as always, thanks for using Brainly...
Jackson is deriving the equation of a parabola. Given point A(x,y) on the parabola and a focus F(0,p), which expression gives th
enot [183]
Answer:
<em>Correct answer: Option b</em>
Step-by-step explanation:
<u>Distance Between Two Points </u>
Given two points A=(ax,ay) and B=(bx,by), the distance between them can be computed by the Pythagoras's formula
\displaystyle d=\sqrt{(bx-ax)^2+(by-ay)^2)}
The points of the question are A(x,y) and F(0,p), thus applying the formula:
\displaystyle d=\sqrt{(x-0)^2+(y-p)^2)}
\boxed{\displaystyle d=\sqrt{x^2+(y-p)^2)}}
Correct answer: Option b
What is the slope of the line that passes through the points (-2 5) and (1 4)
Ad libitum [116K]
To find the slope given two points:
(-2, 5) and (1, 4)
subtract the first y from the second y /subtract the first x from the second x
4-5 / 1- -2
-1/3
The slope of the line that passes through the given points is -1/3
