Answer:

Once water vapor is in the atmosphere, low temperatures cause the vapor to either condense into a liquid or undergo deposition to form ice crystals. Water droplets can form clouds from the atmosphere.

Which pair of terms concerning the osmotic effect of a solution on red blood cells is mismatched?
QveST [7]
Even though there are no choices given in this particular question, the principle of osmosis is very easy to understand.

When we talk about osmosis, we are referring to the movement of water from a low concentration to a higher concentration. This is different from diffusion, which talks specifically about the movement of <em>solutes</em> in the solution (from a higher concentration to a lower concentration.)

When an RBC is placed inside a <em>hypertonic </em>solution, the water inside the RBC will go out thereby shrinking the RBC.

Inside an <em>isotonic</em> solution, the RBC will remain the same because the concentrations are equal.

Inside a <em>hypotonic</em> solution, the RBC will lyse or explode because water will move from the solution going inside the RBC.

Why do scientists think it is necessary to develop new ways to create ethanol
Elena L [17]

Answer:

Due to the cost and resource input (specially the land) required for producing ethanol

Explanation:

In current time most of the ethanol is produced by fermenting corn, sugarcane or other plants at high temperature. In this process of fermentation, liquid bio fuel is produced.

These plants and crops require large area for cultivation and production along with huge inputs of fertilizers and water. As per an estimate , 3 gallons of ethanol require bushel of corn that intakes 800 gallons of water which is a huge cost to any nation or individual

Hence, scientist are  finding new ways to create ethanol

Insect wings may have begun to evolve as lateral extensions of the body that were used as heat dissipaters for thermoregulation.
Mariulka [41]

Exaptation

Explanation:

In this example, the lateral extensions that developed were meant for thermoregulation.

But these became sufficiently large to support gliding through the air and later on were used for flight.

Thus the structure assumed a function for which it was not meant and its original function shifted to a completely different dimension giving rise to modern insect wings. So we can say that this is an example of Exaptation.
