It has to do with circles and the measurements, anytime you see pi, we cant measure a circle without it.

It has to do with calculating the measurements of a shape. When you see pi you know that it equals 3.14 , and you plug this in to what ever formula they give you for that equation.

Hope this helps!

If you need 30 teaspoons of vanilla extract and vanilla is sold in a 4 oz. bottle, how many bottles of vanilla should you buy?
olya-2409 [2.1K]
You would need two bottles, because 4 ounces is the same as 24 teaspoons, so if you buy two bottles for 30 teaspoons you will have 18 teaspoons left (3 ounces) I hope this helps!

A function f is given by the data in the table. I am currently working with Derivatives but i can’t solve this one.

Answer:

  see attached

Step-by-step explanation:

One way to approximate the derivative at a point is by finding the slope of the secant line between points on either side. That is what is done in the attached spreadsheet.

  f'(0.1) ≈ (f(0.2) -f(0.0))/(0.2 -0.0) = -5 . . . for example

__

Another way to approximate the derivative is to write a polynomial function that goes through the points (all, or some subset around the point of interest), and use the derivative of that polynomial function.

These points are reasonably approximated by a cubic polynomial. The derivative of that polynomial at the points of interest is given in the table in the second attachment. (f1 is a rounding of the derivative function f')
