-The median cubital vein is a superficial vein of the upper limb. It connects the basilic and cephalic vein and is often used for taking blood, as it lies relatively close to the surface of the arm and becomes prominent when pressure is applied.
-It lies within the elbow pit, which is the area on the anterior of the elbow which is triangular in shape. Additionally, it is superficial to the lacertus fibrosus, also referred to as the bicipital aponeurosis, which is also located in the cubital fossa.
