Every streams flowing into small or larger rivers, and then into the ocean, develop a network of waterways. For example, Mississippi River watershed is a large watershed. Every tributaries to the Mississippi which collect rainwater drain into the Mississippi and it also drains into the Gulf of Mexico eventually.
