A 1250 kg car is moving down the highway with a velocity of 32.0 m/s when it bumps into the car ahead of it which has a mass of

875 kg and a velocity of 25.0 m/s. After the collision, the two cars stick together. What will be the resulting velocity of the two cars together? How much energy will be lost in this collision?

<span>First car has 0.0256 m/s per kg and the second one has 0,02857 m/s per kg. If both cars collide the resulting weight will be 2125 kg and both cars will be traveling at speed 0.027085 m/s per kg resulting in the speed 57.56 m/s</span>

Is freezing outside on a cold day conduction convection or radiation?
harina [27]
<span>Conduction is the process of freezing outside on a cold day. Conduction is usually the process of transfer of heat that is temperature from one body to another body which the difference in their heat energy. This transfer of energy which makes it freeze is also considered as conduction.</span>

What is the force required to stop a 20 kg man traveling at 12.3 m/s East in 0.9 s? *Round to TWO decimal points and include you
abruzzese [7]

F = ma

We have mass = 20kg

And we need to solve for acceleration

So acceleration is change in velocity over time, in this case we have one velocity and we can assume the man started from rest so

12.3 / 0.9 = a

a = 13.6667

Now we can plug that into F = ma

F = (20)(13.6667)

F = 273.334

Rounding

F = 273.33

Now he is traveling east so we need a force towards the rest, or in the opposite direction to stop his motion.

If we assume east is the positive direction then we need a force of

-273.33 N to stop the man or 273.33 towards the west.

A turntable that is initially at rest is set in motion with a constant angular acceleration α. What is the magnitude of the angu
bekas [8.4K]

Explanation:

If the turntable starts from rest and is set in motion with a constant angular acceleration α. Let \omega is the angular velocity of the turntable. We know that the rate of change of angular velocity is called the angular acceleration of an object. Its formula is given by :

\alpha =\dfrac{\omega_f-\omega_i}{t}

\alpha =\dfrac{\omega-0}{t}

\alpha =\dfrac{\omega}{t}

t=\dfrac{\omega}{\alpha }............(1)

Using second equation of kinematics as :

\theta=\omega_i t+\dfrac{1}{2}\alpha t^2

\theta=\dfrac{1}{2}\alpha t^2

Using equation (1) in above equation

\theta=\dfrac{1}{2}\times \dfrac{\omega^2}{\alpha }

In one revolution, \theta=4\pi (in 2 revolutions)

4\pi =\dfrac{1}{2}\times \dfrac{\omega^2}{\alpha }

\omega=\sqrt{8\pi \alpha}

\omega=2\sqrt{2\pi \alpha}

Hence, this is the required solution.
