Her mistake is on line 2. it should be negative 3 not positive 3.

the rectangles area is l*w and we know that 2x + 17 = 6x + 9 because they are both the length. so to find x we do an equation and isolate x like this

2x + 17 = 6x + 9

subtract 9 on both sides

2x + 8 = 6x
subtract 2x to both sides

8 = 4x

divide both sides by 4

2 = x

switch the sides to maintain proper form

x = 2

so now we know x = 2 so to find the answer we need to do length times width. for length im going to use 2x + 17 but you can use 6x + 9 if you want.

(2(2) + 17) * (4(2) - 1)

(4 + 17) * (8 - 1)

22 * 7

154 units squared

Does anyone know this?
Tresset [83]

<ABC would equal 106

seeing in triangle ABD angle A equals 67 you would multiply that by 2 and then subtract it from 180 to get 46, and then triangle DBC all the angles would equal 60. so then add 46 to 60 to get 106 the measure of <ABC

Can someone help please 3x-y=13 A. (6,5) B.(3,-4) C. (6,5) and (3,-4) D. neither
gavmur [86]

Answer:

C. (6, 5) and (3, -4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the equation 3x - y = 13, we need to figure out which points satisfy it. In order for an ordered pair to satisfy an equation, when we plug the x-coordinate in for x and the y-coordinate in for y, the equation should hold true.

Let's try with (6, 5):

3x - y = 13

3 * 6 - 5 =? 13

18 - 5 =? 13

13 = 13

Since this is true, we know that (6, 5) is indeed a solution.

Now let's try with (3, -4):

3x - y = 13

3 * (3) - (-4) =? 13

9 + 4 =?13

13 = 13

Again, since this is true, then (3, -4) must be a solution.

Thus, the answer is C.
