Create a table.

Day #   New people
--------    -----------------
     1              2 = 2¹
     2             4 = 2²
     3             8 = 2³

By induction, on the n-th day, the number of new people is 2ⁿ.

On the 9-th day, there will be 2⁹ = 512 new people.

Answer:

512 people will know about website on ninth day

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that You tell two friends about a website they can go to in order to receive coupons to a popular clothing store.

So, on day 1 ,No. of people know about the website =2

On day 2 , each of them tells 2 more friends

Now since each of them tells 2 friends .

So, 2 told no. of friends = 2*2=4

Now on Day 3 , these four friends, each of them told 2 more friends

So, total no. of friends told about the website by these four friends = 2+2+2+2=8 friends

SO, if we consider the sequence no. of friends know about the website on days

Day 1 :  2^1=2

Day 2 :  2^2=4

Day 3:  2^3=8

So, the general form of sequence becomes : 2^n

Where n denotes the no. of day

So, on Day 9 the no. of peolple finds about website :

2^9

512

Hence 512 people will know about website on ninth day

For the first part, since you know that 4^2 in 16, which is your area, then the 2 sides are 4 square yards and 4 square yards. For the second part, you know that all sides on a square are equal so if one side is 4 square yards, then so are all the other sides. As a result, 4 times 4 is 16, your perimeter.

Final Answers: Part 1 - The length of one side is 4 yards.
Part 2 - The perimeter is 16 yards.

Sindrei [870]

Answer:

∴At the beginning of the game Sparrow had = (70+12)=82 coins

Step-by-step explanation:

Given , three pirates named Ahab, Sparrow and Davy play a game.

Let at the end of the game Ahab, Sparrow and Davy  have 4x, 5x,and 6x coins respectively.

Total number of coins= 4x+5x+6x=15x

Again given that the pirates have a total of 210 coins.

According to the problem,

15x =210

⇔x = 14

Therefore, Ahab, Sparrow and Davy  have(4×14)=56,(5×14)=70 and (6×14)=84 respectively.

Since,Ahab has won 5 coins and Davy has won 7 coins.This(7+5)=12 coins was belonged to Sparrow.

∴At the beginning of the game Sparrow had = (70+12)=82 coins
