Viruses require a living host to function; otherwise, they cannot survive. In addition, viruses are usually coated with a protein shell called a capsid. Viruses are also much smaller than bacteria. Viruses are also debated to be non-living as well; however, they still do contain DNA/RNA that they inject into a host. Depending on the virus, this injected DNA can join the circular plasmid DNA of the bacteria and go through the lytic or lysogenic cycle. Hope this helps and was a brainly answer :')

Answer: The difference between the bacteria and viruses in terms of living can be explained by some factors.

Bacteria do not need a host to survive but viruses need a host body to survive.

Bacteria are found everywhere like in the ocean, hot vents, colder region, inside the human body.

Viruses do have genetic material of DNA or RNA  but they cannot survive on its own, they need a host body to live.

This makes bacteria different from viruses in terms of living.
