Chair= x
Table= x+40

2(x+40)+3x=705
2x+80+3x=705
5x+80=705
5x=705-80
5x=625
x= 625/5
x=125

1 chair costs $125
1 table costs $165

The cost of 1 table and two chairs-----> 165+125+125= $415

9966 [12]

Answer:

you would have to find the other value of the ratio.

If you look at the original ratio of 5:4, you can tell that 45 is just 8×5 and therefore you can also multiply 4×8 which would 32.

Ecuación 2:
10x + 20y = 8000
ayudaaa
Elenna [48]

Answer:

y = 300

x = 200

Step-by-step explanation:

x = 500 - y.

Ahora podemos reemplazar eso en la segunda ecuación y obtener:

10*(500 - y) + 20*y = 8000.

Ahora resolvemos esto para y.

5000 - 10*y + 20*y = 8000

10*y = 8000 - 5000 = 3000

y = 3000/10 = 300.

Y sabíamos que:

x = 500 - y = 500 - 300 = 200

Entonces la solución es:

y = 300

x = 200

Austin has two Marvel posters he wants to hang on the wall in his bedroom. The wall is 16.5 feet wide and each poster is 5 3/4 f
vekshin1

The expression for the distance is w=5/3 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

The wall has a width of 16.5 feet

A single poster has a width of 5 3/4 ft which is equal to 23/4 ft or 5.75 ft

For the two posters, the width occupied is ; 23/4 * 2 = 23/2 = 11.5 ft

Remaining width that will be unoccupied by the posters will be 16.5-11.5=5

A sketch of the wall with the two posters such that the edge of the wall is the same as the distance between the posters will show three un-covered spaces, from edge of wall to the first poster, then between the two posters, and lastly from the second poster to the other edge of the wall.

The un-covered 3 portions have an equal width, lets assume that they have a width of w ft

This means 3w will represent the uncovered width which equals to the unoccupied space of 5 ft

Form equation for the uncovered width as;

3w=5ft

w=5/3 ft ---------the distance from the edge of each poster to the nearest edge of wall.
