A)24 boards/1 * 47.5 inch/boards * 1 ft/12in = 95 ft.
according to dimensional analysis the answer is 95 ft.
b) 95/8 is approximately 12 so 12 boards are needed.

vazorg [7]

Answer:

a. 10a + 8a²

c. 12z + 3z²

e. -20 + x + x²

g. -64 + 9z⁴

i. y¹⁰⁰¹ + 8y¹³²⁰⁰

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the Six Exponential Rules, whenever you divide terms, you subtract the exponents, and of course whenever you multiply terms, you add the exponents.

a. The variables have an invisible degree term of 1, so when multiplied, you get 8a².

c. ⅛ of 24 and 96 means dividing both numbers by its multiplicative inverse, which is 8: ⅛[24] → 24 ÷ 8; 3; ⅛[96] → 96 ÷ 8; 12. Then of course, you still have to follow the exponential procedure.

e. This is just like the Quadratic Equation, y = Ax² + Bx + C. All you have to do is do what I like to call FOIL:

F - Multiply the first terms in each set of parentheses FARTHEST TO THE LEFT

O [Outermost] - Multiply the first term in the first set of parentheses FARTHEST TO THE LEFT by the last term in the second set of parentheses FARTHEST TO THE RIGHT

I [Innermost] - Multiply the last term in the first set of parentheses FARTHEST TO THE RIGHT by the first term in the second set of parentheses FARTHEST TO THE LEFT

L - Multiply the last terms in each set of parentheses FARTHEST TO THE RIGHT

Doing this will give you the above answer.

g. See explanation letter e.

i. Now, as I mentioned before, when you multiply terms, you add the exponents. In addition, that decimal in the far right corner, is equivalent to ⅛, and ⅛ of 8 is 1, so we know that 1 is our INVISIBLE coefficient next to the y, then you just add 1 to 1000 in the exponents because of the invisible degree of 1.

Answer:

6200

Step-by-step explanation:

first find how much she would make purely based on hours worked:

8x40 = 320 dollars

next subtract this from total on her paycheck so 692-320 is 372

we know that 372 is 6% of a number so...

\frac{6}{100} x = 372

\frac{6x}{100} = 372

6x= 37200(100)

x=6200 $ divide by 6

so she sold $6200 worth of merchandise to earn $372 of commission

Transformations
I need help on this worksheet please.
Neporo4naja [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Question 2

As far as I can see, you got it right. The general transformation for 90 ccw is

(x,y) ===> (-y, x)

What that means is for the x you put in -y changing the sign to the opposite and for the y you put in x and this time you leave the sign alone . The transformation is shown in the left hand diagram.

The two tables are shown below.

Original

  • (1,4)
  • (1,2)
  • (3,2)
  • (3,5)

The transformed table is

  • (-4,1)
  • (-2,1)
  • (-2,3)
  • (-5,3)
  • (-4,1) This is just to let the program know to close the figure For some reason this did not have lines and if I delete it and put the lines in, I won't be able to upload the new diagram.

===========

Four

This one transforms from (x,y) to (-x,-y) which means where you see an x, you put a - x and where you see a y, you put a minus y. It is the middle frame.

Original

  • (-4,3)
  • (0,3)
  • (-2,0)
  • (-4,3) Here again, this is just to close the figure.

The transformed figure in red I think is

  • (4,-3)
  • (0,-3
  • (2,0)
  • (4,-3) And this closes the figure as well.

==========

Six

The diagram is on the right

Reflection about the y axis. Here the transformation is (x,y) ====> (-x,y) notice the ys don't change.

  • (-3,0)
  • (-5,-2)
  • (-1,-2)

There is no closure.

Reflection

  • (3,0)
  • (5,-2)
  • (1,-2)
