As I divided in the picture,

Total area = area of triangle + area of 2 rectangles          

                 =  base x height/2 + length1 x width1 + length2 x width2

                 = 15 x (15 + 3 + 5 - 3)/2 + 3 x 4 + 8 x (3 + 5)

                 = 226
