While conducting a lab, a physics student tried to charge different objects. She notices that the first object, caused the elect

roscope to deflect greatly and the second object did not deflect the electroscope at all. Which of the following can she conclude about the two objects? Select all that apply.
Object 1 is an insulator and object 2 is a conductor.

Object 1 is a conductor and object 2 is an insulator.

Object 1 could be rubber and object 2 could be copper.

Object 1 could be copper and object 2 could be rubber.

Object 1 could be used to connect a circuit together.

Object 2 could be used to connect a circuit together.

Answer:

Option 2 Object 1 is a conductor and object 2 is an insulator.

Option 4 Object 1 could be copper and object 2 could be rubber.

Object 5 Object 1 could be used to connect a circuit together.

Explanation:

An electroscope is a device that is used to identify and measure that whether the given object carries or bear a current or not.

First object deflects the electroscope which means it carries the current and only a conductor can carry a current. Thus, the first object must be a conductor.

On the other hand second object do not deflects the electroscope which means it does not carries the current and hence it is an insulator.

Copper is a conducting material while rubber is a non conducting material. Also a conducting material is used to connect a circuit.

Thus, option 2, 4, 5 are correct.

The last bit of your question, YES these domestic animals have a huge ecological importance! Especially if you released them into the wild.

When I first read the question, I wasn't so sure about this. I figured they would probably just wander around for a while, possibly a few months or years, and then die out little by little as they competed for food and fell to predators.

However, in the meantime they would likely eat everything, and then attract large numbers of predators, who would then have many babies.

In how many instances are the atomic weights of the elements out of order relative to the atomic numbers of the elements?
lina2011 [118]
I am not to sure that I understand the question. But it would be impossible for an element to have an atomic mass less than it's atomic number...if it did then it would be a different element.

i Believe A. This is true because weight is the magnitude of gravitational force acting on an object, and since gravitational force varies in different places in the universe, weight also varies.
