According to psychologist Erik Erikson, a parent child relationship or interaction is most crucial during the early childhood days. It is important at multiple stages or childhood development. Until age of five, family should be the most important setting to build parent-child relationship. Child should build trust on himself and then on his parents. A well parented child gradually becomes self-controlled. Then comes the stage when children take initiatives and start activities.
