If you get violently ill after eating a tainted food, you will probably develop an aversion to the taste of that food but not to
Whitepunk [10]

Answer:

This best illustrates the importance of "<u>biological predispositions</u>" in associative learning.

Explanation:

Biological predisposition in humans means that there are internal characteristics humans possess that increase their chances of having certain conditions.

The taste aversion (or dislike) someone develops after eating tainted food and falling ill is as a result of <em>associating the stimuli (the taste of the bad food) with the response (falling ill)</em>.

By associating the stimuli with the response, the body learns to stay away from such food in future, to avoid falling ill again.

This indicates that biological predispositions are more important in associative learning than external stimuli (such as; music or the sight of the restaurant).

If the sample size is , what conditions must be satisfied to compute the confidence interval?
Gnesinka [82]

In the confidence interval method the sample data must come from a population that is normally distributed with no outliers.

A confidence interval is a range of values derived from observable data at a desired level of confidence that may include the parameter's true value. The confidence level, such as a 95% confidence level, refers to the accuracy of the estimating process rather than the degree of assurance that the computed confidence interval accurately represents the true value of the parameter under investigation. Confidence intervals are typically written as (some value) ± (a range). The range can be expressed as a percentage or as a real amount. The equation used to determine the confidence interval varies depending on which standard deviation is known.

Functional communication training (FCT) is the teaching of an appropriate communication form to reduce an inappropriate behavior
Ostrovityanka [42]

Answer: differential reinforcement (DR) procedure

Explanation: Functional communication training (FCT) is a method used to teach individuals with severe behavioral problems acceptable behaviors by reinforcing alternative behaviors. It is a form of Differential Reinforcement.

FCT sees behavior as a way of communication and is appropriate for people with learning disabilities or speech difficulties. FCT establishes the factors in the individual’s surrounding that is enforcing the undesirable behavior then designing a new response which is acceptable to the factor or event.

For example if a student screams when he does not understand a question or topic in class, a teacher may teach him a simple sentence or sign language which serves as an alternative way to express his confusion.
