You need to filter out the necessary information. You are told that Alexis makes 27% of her foul shots. You are told she took 24 in the season. The info about 15 wins and 19 games is superflous information.

Find 27% of 24 foul shots to get to the answer.

Do this by multiplying 24 by .27.

6.48 - we are told to round the number to the nearest tenth.

6.5 shots - letter B.

Dominik [7]

Begin by using the cosine rule to find the unknown side.

Where a- unknown side, b is 12, c is 16 and angle in between is 108°

The cosine rule...

        a² = b² + c² - 2bc cosA

            = 12² + 16² - (2×12×16 cos108°)

            = 518.655076

Taking the positive square root...

         a = 22.774

         a = 22.8 cm nearest tenth

What additional piece of information must be known in order to calculate the volume of the cylinder below?
djyliett [7]

For this case we have that by definition, the volume of a cylinder is given by:

V = \pi * r ^ 2 * h

Where:

r: It is the radius of the cylinder

h: It is the height of the cylinder

We have as data, observing the figure, that they give us the radio. Then, the height is missing.

What is the solution of 3x+2y=22 , 3x-2y=2
irina [24]
3x+2y=22
3x-2y=2
we add these to equations together
6x=24
x=4
then we plug in x to find y
3*4+2y=22
12+2y=22
2y=10
y=5
solution is (4,5) (x=4 and y=5)
