4. D does NOT form a proportion
5. To get the answer you would multiply 45*8=360 then 360/18=20 so n=20

6. same as number 2
multiply 1.2*.6= .72 then .72/1.6= .45 so w=.45

4. (a) 8/14 = 4/7
         20/35 = 4/7
    (b) 6/10 = 3/5
         15/25 = 3/5
    (c) 9/4
         36/16 = 9/4
    (d) 12/15 = 4/5
          30/40 = 3/4
The answer is D.

5. 8/18 = n/45
   18 x n = 45 x 8
   18 x n = 360
    n = 360/18
       = 20
The answer is C.

6. 0.6/1.6 = w/1.2
    0.6 x 1.2 = w x 1.6
    0.72 = w x 1.6
    0.72/1.6 = w
    w = 0.45
The answer is A.

Dovator [93]

Answer:

y = 10

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the y coordinate of the midpoint, take the y coordinates of the endpoints and average

(0+y)/2 = 5

Multiply each  die by 2

0+y = 10

y = 10

Suppose a triangle has sides a, b, and c, and let theta be opposite the side of length a. If cos theta < 0, what must be true
katrin2010 [14]
If \cos \theta\ \textless \ 0, then angle \theta is obtuse and triangle with sides a, b, c is obtuse triangle.
In an arbitrary triangle can be only one obtuse angle, and the side which lies opposite to the largest angle is the largest. Then since angle \theta is opposite the side of length a you can conclude that a>c and a>b.
