Traditional epic heroes often had superhuman strength, courage, bravery, and were champions of justice, freedom, loyalty, and devotion. These kinds of characters for readers of today may seem to be fantastical and not real; as human knowledge, sharing of information across media has developed, we all understand how flawed each and every individual is, and perhaps sometimes those flaws are what make the person great also. Readers today may find these character too perfect, and a fantasy.
