In photosynthesis, carbon dioxide is reduced. This reduction occurs during the Calvin cycle. The energy for the reduction is gained from Light reaction.

Explanation:

The pigment called Chloroplasts that are present in plants helps them in the conversion of light energy into chemical energy. This pigment contains electrons has higher energy that will be transported in the photosynthesis p[process.

The main source of this process to take place is energy that is obtained from sun. Chlorphylls abosrb the solar energy. The electrons in the chloroplast produces NADPH and ATP. This process is called as the light reactions as the main source of this reaction is light.

The single most important feature to consider when purchasing a scuba regulator is: How well it performs in controlled laborator
serg [7]

Answer:

A diving regulator is a pressure regulator that reduces the pressure of gas in the tank and deliver it to the diver so that he/she can breathe easily. It must pass the controlled laboratory testing and must have a second adjustment knob to ensure ease of breathing. Modern regulators are precision made and designed to work under demanding conditions. 1st stage and 2nd stage, diaphragm and piston, exhaust valve and purge button are types of diving regulators.

how would the nervous system function be affected if both the presynaptic and postsynaptic neurons at every synapse had both syn
Ray Of Light [21]

Small, electron-lucent vesicles known as synaptic vesicles (SVs) are grouped at presynaptic terminals. They hold neurotransmitters and exocytosis, which is stimulated by calcium, releases them. After exocytosis, SVs are formed locally at the terminals.

 • From the presynaptic cell with synaptic vesicles to the postsynaptic cell with neurotransmitter receptors, a signal always moves in one direction across the chemical synapse.
 • The correct routing of nerve signals throughout the body is guaranteed by this one-way communication.
 • A signal is transmitted from one neuron—the presynaptic, or sending, neuron—to another neuron—the postsynaptic, or receiving, neuron—at the synapse, increasing or decreasing the likelihood that the postsynaptic neuron will fire its own action potential.
 • The stimulation causes a sensory neuron to go into an action potential, which alters the motor neuron's potential.
 • Excitatory because it tends to depolarize the cell, this potential is known as an excitatory postsynaptic potential (EPSP).

How has stratospheric ozone loss disrupted food webs in the antarctic?
prohojiy [21]
Heat from the sun makes it through near the Antarctic (where the hole is) is melting the ice and not allowing some key species to feed. seals don't have ice to come up for air through like normal so polar bears starve. loss of land means less food for a lot of species because the hunting grounds is closing and there is no room to expand.

Rina8888 [55]

Answer:

Adaptive defenses include both humoral and cellular immunity.

Explanation:

The innate immune response is the non-specific immune response and serves to provide an immediate and general immune response. The adaptive immune responses are the specific immune responses. Adaptive immune responses include cell-mediated immunity and antibody-mediated immunity.

Cell-mediated immunity includes T cells (cytotoxic and helper T cells) while antibody-mediated immunity includes the production of antibodies from B cells. Binding of antigen to B cells is followed by their transformation into plasma cells and produce antibodies. Some of the activated B cells form memory B cells that are responsible for quicker and strong secondary immune responses.
