18 because 4 x 6 is 24 so you would multiply 3 x 6 and get 18

Carlos sold 18 tickets because

<span>The answer is 18 but let me explain why that is. First of all let's assume (because it's true) that 3/4 is the same as saying 3/4 of one which is the same as saying 3/4 x 1 the answer then to that is 3/4 (go figure) so then using this logic we can say that 3/4 of 24 is the same as 3/4 x 24, which is an easy expression to evaluate if you have a calculator, but what if you don't, then what? Then you have to evaluate, 3/4 x 24 is the same as saying 3 x 24 = 72, then taking 72 and dividing by 4 which will give you 18, the answer. So I hope you can see the connection here, again if we have 3/4 of one we know that's the same as 3/4 x 1 which is equal to 1 x 3 = 3 then divided by 4 which is 3 divided by 4 which is the same as, you guessed, 3/4. Hope that helps, good luck with math in the future.

Can someone help me with this problem
Alex_Xolod [135]

Answer:

<h2>A = 20</h2><h2>P = 6√10</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula of a distance between two points:

d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

A(-3, 0) , B(3, 2)

AB=\sqrt{(3-(-3))^2+(2-0)^2}=\sqrt{6^2+2^2}=\sqrt{36+4}=\sqrt{40}=\sqrt{4\cdot10}=\sqrt4\cdot\sqrt{10}=2\sqrt{10}

A(-3, 0), D(-2, -3)

AD=\sqrt{(-2-(-3))^2+(-3-0)^2}=\sqrt{1^2+(-3)^2}=\sqrt{1+9}=\sqrt{10}

AB = CD and AD = BC

The area of a rectangle:

A=(AB)(AD)

Substitute:

A=(2\sqrt{10})(\sqrt{10})=(2)(10)=20

The perimeter of a rectangle:

P=2(AB+AD)

Substitute:

P=2(2\sqrt{10}+\sqrt{10})=2(3\sqrt{10})=6\sqrt{10}
