A) If Jackson bought 3 pounds of candies for $9.75, the prices for these candies for cents per pound is $0.0325.
Solution:
$9.75 / 3 = $3.25 /  100 cents = $0.0325
B) If Jackson bought 3 pounds of candies for $9.75, the prices for these candies for cents per ounce is $0.2031.
Solution:
1 pound = 16 ounces
16 ounces x 3 pounds = 48 ounces
48 ounces / $9.75 = $0.2031

emmasim [6.3K]

Answer:

C.y=6.75x+81.25

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that

In I year, number of participants=88

In V year, number of participants=115

We have to find the equation of the trend line that can be generated by using the data from years 1 and 5.

Rate of change of participants =\frac{change\;in;participants}{change\;in\;time}=\frac{115-88}{5-1}

Rate of change of participants,m=6.75

Point-slope form:y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

Where m=Rate of change of participants per year

x_1=5,y_1=115

By using the formula

Substitute the values then we get

y-115=6.75(x-5)

y-115=6.75x-33.75

y=6.75x-33.75+115

y=6.75x+81.25

Hence, option C is true.
