What is the value of x in the equation 2.5 -0.25 x= -3?

Mathematics

You start by taking the 2.5 over to the other side. This is a positive number so when you take it over it will become a negative.

2.5-0.25x = -3
     -0.25x =-3-2.5
     -0.25x=-5.5

now -0.25 is being multiplied to x, when you take it over to the other side, it becomes divide.

-0.25x = -5.5
        x = -5.5/-0.25
        x = 22

An example of consecutive odd integers is 23, 25, 27, and 29. Find four consecutive odd integers with a sum of 160. Show your wo
Andrew [12]
Step1: Define an odd integer.
Define the first odd integer as (2n + 1), for n = 0,1,2, ...,
Note that n is an integer that takes values 0,1,2, and so no.

Step 2: Create four consecutive odd integers.
Multiplying n by 2 guarantees that 2n will be zero or an even number.
Therefore (2n + 1) is guaranteed to be an odd number.
By adding 2 to the odd integer (2n+1), the next number (2n+3) will also be an odd integer.

Let the four consecutive odd integers be
2n+1, 2n +3, 2n +5, 2n +7

Step 3: require that the four consecutive integers sum to 160.
Because the sum of the four consecutive odd integers is 160, therefore
2n+1 + 2n+3 + 2n+5 + 2n +7 = 160
8n + 16 = 160
8n = 144
n = 18

Because 2n = 36, the four consecutive odd integers are 37, 39, 41, 43.

Write 7/11 as a decimal ( round to three decimal places as needed
Degger [83]
0.636
Add a 0 then a decimal .you will see the number 70 goes with 6 *11=66
then the remainder will be 4 , add a 0 and you will see the number goes with 3*11= 33 then the remainder will be 7 again add a 0  and multiply 6. You will get your answer.

The central angle of a regular polygon is 18 degrees. Th e perimeter of the polygon is 144 ft. What is the area of the polygon t
Diano4ka-milaya [45]
Given that the central angle of a polygon is 18, then the number of sides of the polygon will be:
360/18
=20 sides
thus the side length will be:
144/20
=7.2 ft
hence the area will b given by:
p=s×n
a=s/[2tan(180)/n]
where:
Area=(a×p)/2
p=perimeter, s=side length, n=number of sides
p=7.2×20=144
a=7.2/[2tan (180/20)]=22.73
thus
A=(144×22.73)/2
A=1632.524 ft²
