Answer:

10 bags

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of field = 360 feet.

Width of field = 160 feet

Area of field = Length \times Width

                    = 360 \times 160

                    = 57600 feet^2

Amount of Fertilizer used for 1000 sq.ft. = 8 pounds

Amount of Fertilizer used for 1 sq.ft. = \frac{8}{1000}

Amount of Fertilizer used for 57600 sq.ft. = \frac{8}{1000} \times 57600

                                                                     = 460.8 pounds

50 pounds = 1 bag

So, 1 pound = \frac{1}{50}

So, 460.8 pounds = \frac{1}{50} \times 460.8=9.216≈ 10

So, 10 bags will be required to complete the job.

The length of a rectangle is 3 yd longer than its width. if the perimeter of the rectangle is 50 yd , find its length and width.
leva [86]
Length = w+3
P = 2L +2W
50 = 2(w+3) + 2w
50 = 2w +6 +2w
50 = 4w +6
50-6 =4w-6
44 = 4w
44/4 = 4w/4
w = 11
l = 11+3
l = 14

50 = 2L+2W
50 = 2(14) + 2(11)
50 = 28 +22
50=50

WILL GIVE BRANLIEST!!! Pls help! Determine the coordinates of the point on the straight line y=3x+1 that is equidistant from the
iren [92.7K]

Let , coordinate of points are P( h,k ).

Also , k = 3h + 1

Distance of P from origin :

d=\sqrt{h^2+k^2}

Distance of P from ( -3, 4 ) :

d=\sqrt{(h+3)^2+(k-4)^2}

Now , these distance are equal :

h^2+(3h+1)^2=(h+3)^2+(3h+1-4)^2\\\\h^2+(3h+1)^2=(h+3)^2+(3h-3)^2

Solving above equation , we get :

P=(\dfrac{16}{21},\dfrac{23}{7})

Hence , this is the required solution.
