The prime number is 743

456 is divisible by 5

822 is divisible by 2

600 is divisible by 10

743 is only divisible by itself and 1 making it prime

465 ends in 5, so it must be divisible by  5.
822 and  600 are even, so the y are divisible by 2.
All that is left is 743, so that has to be it.

What is the midpoint of the segment shown below? (5,4) (5,-3)
Monica [59]

The midpoint is (5, ¹/₂).

<h3>Further explanation</h3>

The midpoint is the coordinates of a point right in the middle of a line segment or two endpoints.

The Midpoint Formula \boxed{\boxed{ \ M = \bigg( \frac{x_1 + x_2}{2}, \frac{y_1 + y_2}{2} \bigg) \ }}

So, abscissa and ordinate of the midpoint are the averages of both endpoints. i.e., (x₁, y₁) and (x₂, y₂).

Given (x₁, y₁) = (5, 4) and (x₂, y₂) = (5, -3).

Let's calculate the midpoint.

\boxed{ \ M = \bigg( \frac{5 + 5}{2}, \frac{4 + (-3)}{2} \bigg) \ }

\boxed{ \ M = \bigg( \frac{10}{2}, \frac{1}{2} \bigg) \ }

\boxed{ \ M = \bigg( 5, \frac{1}{2} \bigg) \ }

We get the midpoint between the two endpoints, that is, (5, ¹ / ₂).

What is the following is the solution to the equation 25^(z+2) = 125
maksim [4K]

First, rewrite the equation 25^{z+2} = 125 with the base equal to 5. Note that:

  • 25=5^2;
  • 125=5^3;
  • 25^{z+2}=(5^2)^{z+2}=5^{2\cdot (z+2)}.

Then

5^{2\cdot (z+2)}=5^3.

Since the bases are equal, you have that powers are equal too:

2\cdot (z+2)=3,\\ \\2z+4=3,\\ \\2z=3-4,\\ \\2z=-1,\\ \\z=-\dfrac{1}{2}.

Answer: z=-\dfrac{1}{2}.
