Answer:

The correct answer is option Volley ball

Explanation:

An alternative sport is different from extreme sport in the sense that alternative sports are more dangerous than the main stream sports. Also alternative sports are meant more for enjoyment and less for physical exercise while mainstream sports are meant more for physical exercise.

Some common example of mainstream sports include – Volley ball, foot ball, cricket, hand ball, badminton etc,.

A 60.0-kg man stands at one end of a 20.0-kg uniform 10.0-m long board. How far from the man is the center of mass of the man-bo
timama [110]

Answer:

x=1.25m

Explanation:

The Center of mass of the system is defined as the point where whole mass of the body is appeared to be concentrated.

The center of mass of the system is given by

         x=  \frac{m1x1+m2x2}{m1+m2}

where m1 is mass of man =60 kg

           m2 mass of board =20 kg

let the man be at the origin  x1 =0 , x2 =5m

by substituting in above formula

x =\frac{(60*0)+(20*5)}{60+20} = \frac{100}{80} =1.25 m

x=1.25m

So the center of mass of the system is at 1.25 m from man.

The AM radio station WDRJ broadcasts news and sports at a frequency of 704 kHz (kilohertz). What is the wavelength of the radio
Doss [256]

Answer:

AM broadcasts occur on North American airwaves in the medium wave frequency range of 525 to 1705 kHz (known as the “standard broadcast band”). The band was expanded in the 1990s by adding nine channels from 1605 to 1705 kHz.

A floating object oscillates up and down 2 complete cycles in 1 second as a water wave of wavelength 5 meters passes by. The spe
Elena-2011 [213]

Answer:

10 m/s

Explanation:

The speed of a wave is given by

v=\lambda f

where

\lambda is the wavelength

f is the frequency

For the wave in this problem,

- The frequency is given by the number of oscillations per second, so

f=\frac{2 cycles}{1 s}=2 Hz

- The wavelength is

\lambda=5 m

So, the wave speed is

v=(5 m)(2 Hz)=10 m/s

Question 7 Points 3 5 A vehicle is traveling with the velocity of 120 km/h. How much distance will it cover in 30 s? d
ludmilkaskok [199]

Answer:

Velocity v = 120 km/h

Time t = 30 s

Let Distance be d

First, we need to convert 120 km/h into m/s

1 km/h = (1000m)/(3600 s) = 5/18 m/s

So, 120 km/h = 120×5/18 m/s

So, v = 200/6 m/s

Now, velocity = distance/time

So d = v×t

So, d = (200/6) × 30

So, d = 1000 m

So, d = 1 km

Thus, distance travelled is 1 km
