ΔH=MCΔT
M : the mass of water (2.00x10^2)
C : water specific heat capacity (4.18 or 4.2)
ΔT : tempreture change
so energy (J) released into the water is = (200 x 4.18 x 12) = 10032J
you can convert that to KJ : 10032 / 1000 = 10.032KJ

so the energy released by 10g of octane is 10032J or 10.032KJ

hope that helps

Assuming constant pressure and temperature, how many moles of gas have been added to the initial 3 moles of gas when the volume
Temka [501]
We first assume that the gas is ideal which is a safe assumption to approximate the answer to the problem. Then we need to know the ideal gas equation and that is:

PV=nRT
where
P- pressure
V- volume
n-number of moles-
R- ideal gas constant
T-temperature.

Since we know that P, T and V are constant, rearranging the equation would lead to:

P/TR = n/V or the ratio of the moles of gas and volume is constant.

(3moles)/2L = (3+x)/4L
where
x is the additional moles.

Solving for x = 3 moles.

A sample of 8.11 g 8.11 g of solid calcium hydroxide is added to 38.0 mL 38.0 mL of 0.410 M 0.410 M aqueous hydrochloric acid. W
Andrews [41]

Answer:

The balanced chemical equation :

Ca(OH)_2(s)+2HCl(aq)\rightarrow CaCl_2(aq)+2H_2O(l)

Explanation:

When calcium hydroxide reacts with hydrochloric acid it gives calcium chloride and water as a products. The chemical equation is given as:

Ca(OH)_2+2HCl\rightarrow CaCl_2+2H_2O

According to question, solid calcium hydroxde is added to 38.0 mL of 0.410 M of HCl solution, so the chemical equation can be written as:

Ca(OH)_2(s)+2HCl(aq)\rightarrow CaCl_2(aq)+2H_2O(l)

According to stoichiometry, when 1 mole of solid calcium hydroxide reacts with 1 mole of hydrochloric acid to gives 1 mole of aqueous calcium chloride and 1 mole of water.

Vlad [161]

Answer:

people are mostly exposed to chemicals through their nose, mouth, eyes, and ears

Explanation:

they are the easiest way for anything, bad or good, to enter the body because  people touch their face alot.

This might not answer what you were looking for but the other answer covered it pretty well so I thought I'd give you another angle to the question!

Hope this helps!!
