<span>Students could also give the answers as green to blue, blue to green, truck , car to truck, blue to total, and green to total.Some students may write part to part ratios. When the class comes back together, this could be a good time to discuss why a part to whole ratio is more useful when comparing statements that include percents. Students may need to be reminded that percents are a form of a part to whole comparison where the whole is 100.hoose different pairs of small groups to post diagrams and explain how the diagram helped them to see the relationship between the fractions, percents, and decimals.</span>

What is the least common denominator for adding the fractions 4/15, 1/12, and 3/8
il63 [147K]
I think you want the least common multipule (exg LCM of 2,3,4 is 12)

so we find the factors and include all of them so like this

15=3 times 5
12=2 times 2 times 3
8=2 times 2 times 2

so to include all of them we include 3 2's, 1 3 and 1 5 or 2 times 2 times 2 times 3 times 5 or 8 times 15 or 4 times 30 or 120

the LCM is 120

so 4/15=32/120
1/12=10/120
3/8=45/120

add 32/120+10/120+45/120=(32+10+45)/120=87/120

djverab [1.8K]

Answer:

Probability distribution for x:

P(x=0)=0.3644\\\\P(x=1)=0.4373\\\\P(x=2)=0.1749\\\\P(x=3)=0.0233\\\\

Step-by-step explanation:

We can model the number of defective sets in the group of TV sets (variable x) as a binomial variable, with sample size=3 and probability of success p=2/7≈0.2857.

The probability of k defective sets in the group is:

P(x=k) = \dbinom{n}{k} p^{k}q^{n-k}

So, we have this probabilty distribution for x:

P(x=0) = \dbinom{3}{0} p^{0}q^{3}=1*1*0.3644=0.3644\\\\\\P(x=1) = \dbinom{3}{1} p^{1}q^{2}=3*0.2857*0.5102=0.4373\\\\\\P(x=2) = \dbinom{3}{2} p^{2}q^{1}=3*0.0816*0.7143=0.1749\\\\\\P(x=3) = \dbinom{3}{3} p^{3}q^{0}=1*0.0233*1=0.0233\\\\\\

Whats the volume of a cone? Lengths: 9cm, 5cm
abruzzese [7]

Answer:

  B)  75π cm³

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a cone is given by the formula ...

  V = (1/3)πr²h

Your cone has r = 5 cm and h = 9 cm. Putting these values into the formula gives ...

  V = (1/3)π(5 cm)²(9 cm) = 75π cm³
