The main principle of this theory is that the sense we get from and attribute to the world around us is a social construction shaped by everyday social interaction. This perception is focused on how we use and interpret things as symbols to connect with each other, how we create and maintain a self that we present to the world and a sense of self within us, and how we create and maintain the reality that we believe to be true.
