I NEED SERIOUS HELP!! SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME! The function P(t) = 145e-0.092t models a runner’s pulse, P(t), in beats

per minute, t minutes after a race, where 0 ≤ t ≤15. Graph the function using a graphing utility. TRACE along the graph and determine after how many minutes the runner’s pulse will be 70 beats per minute. Round to the nearest tenth of a minute. Verify

Answer:

the runner’s pulse will be 70 beats per minute in 7.9 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

P(t) = 145e^{-0.092t}

Graph the function using a graphing utility.

Graph is attached below.

P(t) is beats per minute

Given P(t) is 70, so we plug in 70 for P(t) and solve for t

70= 145e^{-0.092t}

Divide both sides by 145

\frac{70}{145} =e^{-0.092t}

Now take ln on both sides

ln(\frac{70}{145})=ln(e^{-0.092t})

ln(\frac{70}{145})=-0.092t

Divide both sides by -0.092

So t≈7.91564

Round to nearest tenth t= 7.9

We can verify it from second graph

Write 100,000 as a power of 10. A) 103 B) 104 C) 105 D) 106
mamaluj [8]
 A)10^3 = 10 * 10 * 10 = 1,000
It is not A

B)10^4 = 10 * 10 * 10 * 10 = 10,000
It is not B

C)10^5 = 10 * 10 * 10 * 10 * 10 = 100,000
It could be C

D)10^6 = 10 * 10 * 10 * 10 * 10 * 10 = 1,000,000
It is not D

Your answer is C)10^5

Hope I helped!

There are 412 students and 20 teachers taking buses on a trip to a museum. Each bus can seat a maximum of 48. Which inequality g
marissa [1.9K]

Answer:

10  buses are needed.

9  buses will only be able to take 468 people.

Explanation:

There are  461  +  20  =  481  people altogether needing transport.  Each bus can take at most 52 people.  The number of buses needed =   482  ÷  52. 482  ÷  52  =  9.25  buses.  You might be tempted to round down to 9 buses (because of the 2 that follows the decimal)  However, if there are 9 buses,   9  ×  52  =  468  people can be taken  There will still be   13  people to be transported.  This is an example of where you need to round UP to the next whole number.   10  buses are needed.  In reality it means that not all the buses will be full, but 10 buses are needed to ensure that everyone gets a ride to the museum.
