The value of x is 24 because 24-12=12
I worked it out by doing the opposite so by doing 12+12
Then the value of y is also 24 and I used the same method

Actually, If you put x=24 the answer wouldn't be 12 like the equation, but if put x=28 in the problem: 3/4 * (28-12) it WILL equal 12 just like the equation says. Same thing with y, if you put y=24 in the equation it wouldn't equal 12 like said it would. Now, using PEMDAS, x=32 we can solve the equation. 3/4 * 32-12=12.

To make short, the answer of

Equation 1:

x=28

Equation 2:

y=32

Answer:

65

Step-by-step explanation:

They are vertical angles; so angles are congruent

*<em>Vertical angles are always congruent*</em>

<em>Congruent means equal or same.</em>

1) Since they are congruent, you form an equation.

<h2>145 = 2x + 15</h2>

2) Solve by subtracting 15 from both sides.

<h2>145 = 2x + 15</h2><h2>- 15            -15</h2><h2>----------------------</h2><h2>130 = 2x</h2>

3) Solve by dividing 2 from both sides

<h2>130/2 = 2x/2</h2>

4) Simplify

x = 65

Emma puts $1000 in a savings account that pays 4% interest, compounded monthly. How much money will be in the account 3 years la
lorasvet [3.4K]

Answer:

Option A. \$1,127.27

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The compound interest formula is equal to

A=P(1+\frac{r}{n})^{nt}

where

A is the Final Investment Value

P is the Principal amount of money to be invested

r is the rate of interest  in decimal

t is Number of Time Periods

n is the number of times interest is compounded per year

in this problem we have

t=3\ years\\ P=\$1,000\\ r=0.04\\n=12

substitute in the formula above

A=\$1,000(1+\frac{0.04}{12})^{12*3}=\$1,127.27

Write an algebraic expression to represent the verbal expression
MakcuM [25]
You set it up like this.

It says "the difference", so you put a minus sign: -
It says that the minuend, or the part being taken away from is a quantity equal to the product of 4 and "some number" (we'll use x), so now you have: (4 * x) -
Next, it says the subtrahend, or part being removed, is the square of "the number", meaning we use the "some number", x, from before, so now you have: (4 * x) - x^2
