X=2
You have to first distribute the two and then you have to move the variable to one side of the equation and the number to the other. The work is attached below

Answer:

x=2

Step-by-step explanation:

2(5x+3)=4x+18                       Remove the brackets

10x + 6 = 4x + 18                   Subtract 4x from both sides.

10x - 4x + 6 = 4x-4x + 18      Combine

6x + 6 = 18                            Subtract 6 from both sides

6x + 6 - 6 = 18 - 6                 Combine

6x = 12                                  Divide by 6

6x/6 = 12/6                           Do the division

x = 2

seraphim [82]

One person being nervous around strangers is assumed  independent of other people behaviour. Then, the multiplication rule can be applied as

both nervous = 0.14*0.14 = 0.0196 = 1.96%

one is nervous, one is not nervous = 0.14*(1-0.14) = 0.1204 = 12.04%

At least one nervous = 1.96%  + 12.04% = 14%

tigry1 [53]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The catch here is to break up sqrt(6) into 2 parts that use primes to define sqrt(6)

sqrt(3)* sqrt(6)

sqrt(6) can be broken up into sqrt(2*3) which equals sqrt(2)*sqrt(3)

sqrt(3)*sqrt(2)(sqrt(3)

sqrt(3)*sqrt(3)*sqrt(2)

3*sqrt(2)
