0.3•10^4 is it scientific notation why or why not?

Mathematics
1 answer:
brilliants [131]4 years ago
3 0

No, this is not scientific notation. Scientific notation has a number multiplied by 10 to the power of something. But, that number has one digit in front of the decimal point. Since, here, there are none, this is not a number in scientific notation.

Family drinks 1 3/4 gallons of milk every 4 1/2 days what is the unit rate of milk per day
natita [175]
\bf \cfrac{milk}{day}\qquad \cfrac{1\frac{3}{4}}{4\frac{1}{2}}\implies \cfrac{\frac{1\cdot 4+3}{4}}{\frac{4\cdot 2+1}2}\implies \cfrac{\quad \frac{7}{4}\quad }{\frac{9}{2}}\implies \cfrac{7}{\underline{4}}\cdot \cfrac{\underline{2}}{9}\implies \cfrac{7}{2}\cdot \cfrac{1}{9}\implies \cfrac{7}{18}

which gives us a quotient of about 0.39 gallons of milk for one day.<span />

Identify the two types of incorrect decisions in a hypothesis test. For each incorrect decision, what symbol is used to represe
-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

Type I error and Type II error

Explanation:

Type I and Type II errors are statistical errors made in hypothesis testing where an accepted hypothesis is actually the false hypothesis and the other true.

Type I error occurs when the chosen hypothesis is the alternative hypothesis which is false since the null hypothesis is true. We reject the null hypothesis which is actually true.

Type II error occurs when we accept or fail to reject the null hypothesis which is false and reject the alternative hypothesis which is true.

The probability of making a Type I error is represented by your alpha level (α)(we reject when below p-value)

The probability of a type-II error is represented by β which is beta.
