4. South Asian Nations obtain their freedom. DATE 1971

In 1971 was signed a declaration by the Foreign Ministers of the ASEAN members with the aim of keeping South Asia free from any outside interference. The declaration was named Zone of Peace, Freedom and Neutrality (ZOPFAN).
