Answer:

A. The image would be upside down, would look as tall as you, and would be at the same distance from the mirror as you are.

Explanation:

As we know by the mirror formula

\frac{1}{d_i} + \frac{1}{d_o} = \frac{1}{f}

now we know that object is placed at distance equal to the radius of mirror

d_o = -R

also we know that focal length of mirror is half of the radius of mirror

f = \frac{R}{2}

now we have

\frac{1}{d_i} - \frac{1}{R} = -\frac{2}{R}

so we have

d_i = -R

so image will be at same position as that the position of object and it is inverted in position so correct answer will be

A. The image would be upside down, would look as tall as you, and would be at the same distance from the mirror as you are.

Starting from rest, a runner reaches a speed of 2.8 m/s in 2.1 s. In the same time 2.1 s time, a motorcycles increases speed fro
maw [93]

Answer:

a) Acceleration of runner is 1.33 m/s²

b)  Acceleration of motorcycle is 2.85 m/s²

c) The motorcycle moves 84.21-2.94 = 81.06 m farther than the runner.

Explanation:

t = Time taken

u = Initial velocity = 0

v = Final velocity

s = Displacement

a = Acceleration

Equation of motion

v=u+at\\\Rightarrow a=\frac{v-u}{t}\\\Rightarrow a=\frac{2.8-0}{2.1}\\\Rightarrow a=1.33\ m/s^2

Acceleration of runner is 1.33 m/s²

v=u+at\\\Rightarrow a=\frac{v-u}{t}\\\Rightarrow a=\frac{43-37}{2.1}\\\Rightarrow a=2.85\ m/s^2

Acceleration of motorcycle is 2.85 m/s²

v^2-u^2=2as\\\Rightarrow s=\frac{v^2-u^2}{2a}\\\Rightarrow s=\frac{2.8^2-0^2}{2\times 1.33}\\\Rightarrow s=2.94\ m

The runner moves 2.94 m

v^2-u^2=2as\\\Rightarrow s=\frac{v^2-u^2}{2a}\\\Rightarrow s=\frac{43^2-37^2}{2\times 2.85}\\\Rightarrow s=84.21\ m

The motorcycle moves 84.21 m

The motorcycle moves 84.21-2.94 = 81.06 m farther than the runner.

(a) Suppose that your measured weight at the equator is one-half your measured weight at the pole on a planet whose mass and dia
stealth61 [152]

Answer:

7160.2812 s or 1.988 hours

Explanation:

m = Mass of person

R = Radius of Earth = 6.37\times 10^{6}\ m

g = Acceleration due to gravity = 9.81 m/s²

\omega = Angular speed

Force at equator would be

F_e=m(g-\omega^2R)

Force at pole

F_p=mg

From the question

F_e=\dfrac{1}{2}F_p\\\Rightarrow m(g-\omega^2R)=\dfrac{1}{2}F_p\\\Rightarrow \omega=\sqrt{\dfrac{g}{2R}}

Time period is given by

T=\dfrac{2\pi}{\omega}\\\Rightarrow T=2\pi\sqrt{\dfrac{2R}{g}}\\\Rightarrow T=2\pi\sqrt{\dfrac{2\times 6.37\times 10^6}{9.81}}\\\Rightarrow T=7160.2812\ s=1.988\ hours

The rotational period of the planet is 7160.2812 s or 1.988 hours

The binding of acetylcholine to its receptor at the neuromuscular junction causes the opening of a
Rufina [12.5K]

Answer: opening of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor channels.

Explanation:

Neuromuscular junction is a special junction formed between a motor neurone and a muscle fibre. The junction is fortified with nerves and receptors that helps in the transmission of signals from the motor neurone to the muscle fibre in order to bring about the desired voluntary movements through muscular contraction.

Nicotinic acetylcholine receptor are activated through the binding of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction. This action leads to influx of sodium ions to accomplish endplate potential.

What obstacles will you need to deal with to build railroad routes
polet [3.4K]

<u>Answer:</u>

<em>Construction of a railroad route is a strenuous task and one has to face several obstacles. </em>

<u>Explanation:</u>

Setting up the best possible plan for laying a rail route is a time-taking task. Several factors like economical nature of the plan, proper availability of building materials, minimum river crossings etc should be considered.

To build a railroad route the government has to get hold of the land through which the railroad route is planned. This is never an easy task. The people of the area have to be given adequate compensation and should be properly evacuated. The chances of people disapproving the plan are more.
