Spanish, Catholic, and most western cultures survived for three centuries in Mexico which was part of the Spanish empire.

Further explanation

From the beginning of the 14th century to the end of the 18th century, Europe was entering the period of the Exploration Period. The Europeans began to sail to reach new areas which generally refers to the American continent or other regions that have never been known before. A period that marked the beginning of the era of colonialism.

From a series of European figures who emerged leading the shipping and conquest expedition, the name Hernan Cortes emerged as a successful Spaniard who conquered Mexico fully.

Cortes' services are of course great for the Spanish empire and can be considered a hero. While in Mexico, he became a controversial figure especially his bad relations with the natives. When Cortes set foot on Mexican soil, the area already had an advanced civilization built by the Aztecs.

Cortes's own behavior isn't much better. He seized the land and grabbed gold. Many of the natives were made slaves, killed, including because of the smallpox epidemic transmitted by Europeans. He also brought Catholicism as a new religion that was embraced by the native population to replace local beliefs.

Nearly 500 years ago, Pope Francis, as the supreme leader of the authority of the Catholic Church, once apologized in February 2016. This is inseparable from the insistence of several indigenous communities in Mexico who assess the Catholic Church and are involved and allied with invaders like Cortes. As a result, Spanish culture, language, religion, and other values are forced on the people of Mexico.

Settlers and American Indians often had conflicts after the passage of the Homestead Act. How were these conflicts resolved?
Vitek1552 [10]

Answer:

The Homestead Act was a law of the United States of America created by President Abraham Lincoln on May 20, 1862. Large contingents of immigrants from Europe participated in the occupation of the vast west of the United States and without them this achievement would not lead to cape. To attract immigrants, the US government UU decreed in 1862, the Homestead Act, which defines the ownership of a property of 65 hectares to those who cultivate it for five years. Anyone who had never taken up arms against the US government. The US, including freed slaves, could file a claim for a federal land grant. This law greatly increased the flow of European immigrants to the United States. The conquest of the West, which began with the purchase of Louisiana and ended with the purchase of southern Arizona in 1853, coincided with the US industrialization period.

Although this law was very beneficial for the USA, they also produced many problems between the Native Americans and the new settlers, this problem was solved later with the relocation of the natives in different reserves.
