Answer:

From least to greatest \frac{3}{5},0.65, \frac{2}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Numbers \frac{3}{5},\frac{2}{3},0.65

To find : What is numbers from least to greatest ?

Solution :

Writing all numbers in one way i.e. in fraction.

0.65=\frac{65}{100}=\frac{13}{20}

Now to compare we have to make their denominator same.

So, Taking LCM of 5,3,20.

LCM(3,5,20)=60

Multiply and divide \frac{3}{5} by 12

\frac{3\times 12}{5\times 12}=\frac{36}{60}

Multiply and divide \frac{2}{3} by 20

\frac{2\times 20}{3\times 20}=\frac{40}{60}

Multiply and divide \frac{13}{20} by 3

\frac{13\times 3}{20\times 3}=\frac{39}{60}

Comparing numerators,

36 <39 <40

i.e. \frac{36}{60}

\frac{3}{5}

\frac{3}{5}

Therefore, From least to greatest \frac{3}{5},0.65, \frac{2}{3}

3/5 = 9/15 = 36/60

2/3 = 10/15 = 40/60

0.65 = 65/100 = 13/20 = 39/60

Therefor, the answer is 3/5, 0.65, 2/3.

The farmer needs to buy fertilizer to spread on his garden. The garden is a 20 x 15 rectangle. A bag of fertilizer covers 30 ft.
Ainat [17]

Answer:

10

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a rectangle is given by A=lw, where l is the length of the rectangle and w is the width of the rectangle. Therefore, the area of a 20 x 15 rectangle is equal to 20\cdot 15=300\:\mathrm{ft^2}.

Since one bag of fertilizer covers 30 square feet, the farmer needs \left \lceil \frac{300}{30}\right \rceil=\boxed{10} bags of fertilizer.

10. Find the theoretical probability of rolling a number less than 4 on a standard number cube
snow_lady [41]
<h3>Answer:  1/2</h3>

Explanation:

Here's the event space

E = {1,2,3}

this represents all of the desired events we want, which is rolling less than a 4 on a standard number cube (aka a die). There are A = 3 items in this set.

The sample space is the set of all possible outcomes, namely,

S = {1,2,3,4,5,6}

which is all of the values on the die. There are B = 6 items in this set.

Divide the values of A and B to get the theoretical probability:

P(rolling a number less than 4) = A/B = 3/6 = 1/2
