Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

Replacing <em>f</em>(x) with 21, this is the equation

21=3x+9

First, subtract 9 from each side of the equation to get:

12 = 3x

Next, divide each side by 3 to get:

4 = x

So the answer is B.

Trigonometry, can anybody help??
WINSTONCH [101]

Answer:

angle B: 39

AC: 7.288

AB: 11.58

(note: you cut off the part about rounding so make sure that it's rounded correctly before you put in your answer)

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this we will use SOH, CAH, TOA

we have the angle and the one opposite to it which means we can use either SOH or TOA

let's use TOA

tan(51)=(9/x)

x= 7.288

We can now use pahtagaryous theroem to solve for the hyptonouse

we have

9²+7.288²=C²

C=11.58

Finally, to find angle B we will recall that the angles of a triangle must add to 180.

51+90+a=180

a=39

The area of the base (six triangles with a base 15m and a height 7.5√3m):

A_B=6\cdot\dfrac{1}{2}\cdot15\cdot7.5\sqrt3\approx585\ m^2

The area of side walls (six triangles with a base 15m and a height 12m)

A_W=6\cdot\dfrac{1}{2}\cdot15\cdot12=540\ m^2

The surface area:

A_B+A_W=585+540=1,125\ m^2

HELP ASAP!!! what similarities and differences did you notice between the three types of compound inequalities?
rodikova [14]

Similarities

Adding or subtracting a number from both sides.

Multiplying or dividing both sides by a positive number.

Applying an increasing function to both sides.

Simplifying one or both sides.

Differences

Multiplying or dividing both sides by a negative number changes the direction of an inequality. So we cannot multiply or divide both sides by a variable unless we know that the variable is either always positive or always negative. This is not a concern when solving equalities.

When applying a decreasing function to both sides of an inequality, the direction of the inequality changes.

Swapping both sides of an inequality also changes the direction of an inequality. Again we don't have to worry about this with equalities.

X/2=1.2 <br> Solve for x and check.
tatuchka [14]

Answer: X = 2.4

Step-by-step explanation:

The first step should be to isolate x or get x alone. This means we should get rid of the divided by 2 on the left by multiplying both sides by 2. This would get us to 2 * X/2 = 1.2 * 2. The multiplying X/2 would simplify to just X, and the 1.2 * 2 = 2.4. Therefore the final equation would become X = 2.4.

To check, you would plug in 2.4 into where X is in X/2 = 1.2. Since 2.4/2 = 1.2, we know that X = 1.2 from checking.
