How is hell both a psychological state and a physical place?

God created hell for people as a punishment to people who didn't want to serve him.They arent a psychological or physical place because the person who is put in hell turns into a spirit in which then the person can even feel in a physical matter. The person does never die in hell put instead regrows again and the satans attack and destroy the person again and again.
