<em>Question:</em>

<em>One number is 7 times a first number. A third number is 100 more than the first number. If the sum of the three numbers is 505, Find the numbers. </em>

Answer:

The numbers are 45, 315 and 145

<em></em>

Step-by-step explanation:

Represent the three numbers with A, B and C

Required

Find A, B and C

From the first statement;

B = 7 * A

B = 7A --- (i)

From the second;

C = 100 + A  ---- (ii)

From the third;

A + B + C = 505  ---- (iii)

Substitute 7A for B and 100 + A for C in (iii)

A + 7A + 100 + A = 505

Collect like terms

A + 7A + A = 505 - 100

9A = 405

Divide both sides by 9

A = 45

Substitute 45 for A in (i)

B = 7A

B = 7 * 45

B = 315

Substitute 45 for A in (ii)

C = 100 + A

C = 100 + 45

C = 145

<em>Hence, the numbers are 45, 315 and 145</em>

Tito bought a baseball card for $24.00 and sold it for $37.00. what is the percent of increase rounded to the nearest tenth?
ladessa [460]

Answer: Option 'b' is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Cost price of a baseball card = $24

Selling price of a baseball card = $37

So, Profit would be

37-24=\$13

So, Profit % would be

\dfrac{13}{24}\times 100\\\\=54.16\%\\\\\approx 54.2\%

Hence, Option 'b' is correct.

Which statement is true about the effects of the transformations on the graph of function f to obtain the graph of function g. g
IgorC [24]

Answer:

The correct option is D

D) The graph of function f(x) is shifted right 3 units and up 4 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Lets the function be y = f(x)

To shift the graph 3 units to the right, we add -3 to the x term of the function:

Function becomes y' = f(x-3)

Then to shift the graph up by 4 units, we add -4 to the y term of the function:

Function becomes:

y - 4 = f(x-3)

y = f(x-3) +4

g(x) = f(x-3) +4

Hence the correct option is D, as the graph is shifted to the right by 3 units and also shifted up by 4 units
