The question is related to trigonometry and we have to use the formula of double angle .

Here we use double angle formula of tangent function which is

tan(2x) = \frac{2tan(x)}{1-tan^2(x)}

Given expression is

\frac{2tan (5 \degree)}{1-tan^2(5 \degree)}

Comparing it with double angle formula, we will get x = 5

SO the required expression is equal to

\frac{2tan (5 \degree)}{1-tan^2(5 \degree)}  =tan(2*5 )

\frac{2tan (5 \degree)}{1-tan^2(5 \degree)}  =tan(10 )

So the answer is tan(10) .

What is the step by step equation and answer?3(2x+1)=18+4x-7
Mazyrski [523]

Answer:

x = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

3(2x + 1) = 18 + 4x - 7

First distribute 3 by multiplying it by 2x and 1.

= 6x + 3 = 18 + 4x - 7

Then, add any like terms.

= 6x + 3 = 11 + 4x

 -4x                -4x

= 2x + 3 = 11

         -3    -3

= 2x = 8

 /2     /2

x = 4

If two events (both with probability greater than 0) are mutually exclusive, then? a. they also must be independent. b. they als
vlabodo [156]

option c is correct that if the two events are mutually exclusive than they cannot be independent.

As, we know that "mutually exclusive events are those events that do not occur at the same time".

Mutually exclusive events do not share any sample points with each other, so they cannot occur at same time. Thus, if event A and event B are mutually exclusive, they are actually inextricably dependent on each other because A's existence reduces event B's probability to zero and vice-versa.

Therefore, two events with nonzero probabilities cannot be independent and mutually exclusive because if two events are mutually exclusive, then when one of them occurs, the probability of the other must be zero.

Hence, option c is correct that if the two events are mutually exclusive than they cannot be independent.

What value of g makes the equation true?<br> (xt7)(x-4)=x2+gx-28
Mnenie [13.5K]

Answer:

g = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

If you distribute (x+7)(x-4) you get:

x²+3x-28

Compare it to the question:

x²+gx-28

and it becomes obvious that g = 3
