Hey there
The formula of the compound interest is
A=p (1+i)^n
A future value 12700
P present value?
I interest rate 0.046
N time 86
Solve the formula for p
P=A ÷ (1+i)^n
P=12,700÷(1+0.046)^(86)
P=265.51

Hey there!

The compound interest formula will be the following:

A = P(1+ \frac{i}{n})^{nt}

Since you haven't been given the amount of years, you can just omit this. You've already been given all of the information you need, so just plug everything into this equation and solve for P:

<span>A = $12,700
i = 0.046
n = 86
</span>
A = P(1+ \frac{i}{n})^{n}

12700 = P(1+ \frac{0.046}{86})^{86}

Make sure that you follow PEMDAS!

12700 = P(1.00053488)^{86}

12700 = P(1.047061199296832)

\frac{12700}{1.047061199296832} = \frac{P(1.047061199296832)}{1.047061199296832}

12129.185962127959125 = P

12,129.19 = P

You can check this by plugging this number in for P and solving for A to see if it equals the A you were given.

A = 12129.19(1+ \frac{0.046}{86})^{86}

A = 12129.19(1.047061199296832)

A = 12129.19(1.047061199296832)

A = 12,700

Your answer will be P = 12,129.19.

Hope this helped you out! :-)

20 if f(x) = 4x + 5, what is the value of f(-3)?<br> A-2<br> B-7<br> C 17<br> 04
Juliette [100K]

Answer:

B. -7

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x) = 4x + 5

To find the value of f(-3), replace all the x's in f(x) with -3.

f(x) = 4x + 5

f(-3) = 4(-3) + 5

f(-3) = -12 + 5

f(-3) = -7.

This makes your answer B, -7.

The surface area of the triangular prism is calculated as: 153 cm²

<h3>How to Find the Surface Area of a Triangular Prism?</h3>

The net of a triangular consists of 2 identical triangular faces, and three different rectangular faces. Given the net of a triangular prism, to find the surface area, find the area of each given shape that makes up the net of the triangular prism.

Surface area of the triangular prism = 2(area of triangular base) + area of the 3 different rectangular faces.

Area of triangle = 1/2(b)(h)

Base (b) = 6 cm

Height (h) = 3 cm

Area of the 2 triangular faces = 2[1/2(6)(3)]

Area of the 2 triangular faces = 18 cm²

Area of the larger rectangular face:

Area = (length)(width) = (9)(6)

Area of larger rectangular face = 54 cm²

Area of the medium-sized rectangular face:

Area = (length)(width) = (9)(5)

Area of medium-sized rectangular face = 45 cm²

Area of the smaller rectangular face:

Area = (length)(width) = (9)(4)

Area of smaller rectangular face = 36 cm²

Surface area of the triangular prism = 18 + 54 + 45 + 36

Surface area of the triangular prism = 153 cm²
