The opposite of the view that the sexes are socially, politically and economically equal is that one is superior - and it is typically the male sex that is seen as superior. Thus, such a movement is based on strengthening female rights.

Therefore I think that this movement is called feminism.

What do members of the electoral college do?
enyata [817]

B is the correct answer. When voters vote for the President, they are really voting for their State's electors. So, members of the electoral college vote on behalf of the voters of their state. This is roundly criticized as being undemocratic but is clearly contained in Article II of the Constitution.

Use the political cartoon to draw inferences as to what you believe the word imperialism means. What is happening in the picture
Mariana [72]

Answer:

In the picture, England, (or United Kingdom) is occupying countries and geographical regions in order to expropriate all of its resources. Some countries or islands are closer to its hands (Ireland) which means it basically became the part of UK. Other countries are trying to mantain its sovereignty.

Explanation:

Imperialism is a political doctrine which made the United Kingdom as wealthy as it is today. It is a first empire who conquered most of the world in XVIII and XIX century. Imperialism basically means colonization of land and extraction of its resources. It also means putting those countries in dependent position from UK, because the ties between these countries are so strong that if UK were about to leave these lands, they would soon be bankrupt and desent into civil war. This is why the political anti-colonial and national movements were important in those countries in order to free themselves from the chains of UK. In the terms of resources, labor power and slavery also had an enormous importance for the development of UK, and later USA.
